About Enobong

 

Enobong Etteh is a teacher, musician and world traveler with over twelve years of experience with Mandarin Chinese language, both as a university student and from living and teaching abroad in Beijing. A music major at Wesleyan University, Enobong was a standout student of the Chinese language department, earning top distinctions in Chinese speech competitions sponsored by the Hong Kong Economic Trade Society as well as the Boston Confucius Institute. As a singer, Enobong has performed on a variety of stages, from recitals and listening rooms in New York, to the bars and subways of Beijing. An award-winning songwriter and performing artist, Enobong has written original songs in Mandarin and performed his music at the University of Massachusetts Boston for visiting Chinese professors and students. He has presented his experiences of contemporary China at the Roxbury Community College. Most recently, Enobong has worked in the Boston Public Schools, where he’s had the opportunity to instruct music, French, and Chinese in classrooms throughout the school district. As a teacher, Enobong has a keen ear for the musicality of language, and aims to equip his students with the linguistic tools needed to develop clear and authentic communication skills.
